CALL TO ORDER

This meeting will be conducted by video conference using the Cisco Webex platform. This meeting, though electronic, is open to the public and will be streamed live and archived for viewing on demand at www.northcowichan.ca.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA

Purpose: To consider any items of business not included in the Agenda that are of an urgent nature they must be introduced and approved at the time the agenda is adopted. Matters must be taken up in the order that they are listed unless changed at this time.

PUBLIC INPUT

Public Input is an opportunity for the public to provide their feedback on matters included on the agenda. The maximum number of speakers to be heard during the public input period is limited to five, with a maximum of three minutes allotted to each speaker.

If you attend in-person and wish to address Council you must register at least 10 minutes prior to the Council meeting by signing the sheet posted outside the Council Chambers.

BUSINESS

Presentation of the Planning, Development and Community Services Departmental Business Plans

Purpose: To discuss with Council the proposed 2023 business plans for Engineering, Environmental Services, Forestry, Planning and Building, Operations, and Parks and Recreation; the annual business plans support Council’s impending budget 2023 deliberations and demonstrate how each service area proposes to operationalize Council's Strategic Plan, and other Master Plans of Council, consistent with Council’s Strategic Plan Administration Policy.

Purpose: Business Plan presentation by the Director of Operations, Shawn Cator.

4.1.2

Engineering

Purpose: Business Plan presentation by the Director of Engineering, Clay Reitsma.

4.1.3

Planning and Building

Purpose: Business Plan presentation by the Director of Planning and Building, Rob Conway.

4.1.4

Environmental Services

Purpose: Business Plan presentation by the Director of Engineering Projects, David Conway.

4.1.5

Forestry

Purpose: Business Plan presentation by the Municipal Forester, Shaun Mason.

4.1.6

Parks and Recreation

Purpose: Business Plan presentation by the Director of Parks and Recreation, Neil Pukesh.
